Dan McFadden

PRESIDENT & LEAD DESIGNER

Named a “Top 50 Innovator in the US” by Kitchen & Bath Design News, Dan’s work has garnered many awards including a two-time Global Finalist in the Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove Kitchen Design Contest. He has been featured in dozens of publications such as Traditional Home, Veranda, Kitchen & Bath Business, Midwest Living, and The Washington Post. Dan is a past president of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) – Chicago Midwest Chapter. Other volunteer works include chairing the fundraising event - The Fox Valley Kitchen Walk and providing kitchen restoration expertise for the non-profits, Giant Steps, Sugar Grove, IL, Little Friends, Naperville, IL and others.

History of the Studio

PB Kitchen Design & Cabinetry (originally Past Basket Cabinetry) was the entrepreneurial dream, and second act, for Dave McFadden, a mechanical engineer, who recognized the need for distinctively designed kitchen spaces and finely crafted cabinetry in Chicago’s western suburbs. To satisfy this need, he teamed up with his wife Linda in 1988 to create a kitchen design company within Past Basket, her thriving home shoppe on Geneva’s famed 3rd St.

Linda’s creative flair combined with Dave’s technical precision became a winning formula and blueprint for today’s PBK - to create inspiring kitchens that reflect their client’s unique tastes and needs.
