Q - BoardHouse produces a pre finish floor correct – what is the benefit as opposed to site finished? A - BoardHouse does produce luxury pre-finished hardwood flooring. Some benefits of our BoardHouse prefinished hardwood flooring are: A. Custom color options which are achieved using chemical stains (chemical stains can not be used on a jobsite finished floor- they need to be applied board by board). B. Controlled environment when finished in a factory which eliminates air borne particles from settling in the finish. C. Shorter time frame for the project (eliminates the sanding/finishing process). D. No odors in the home from the sanding/finishing process. E. The flooring is ready to be lived on once installed. F. Easier to install prefinished hardwood flooring for existing home renovations. A - Typical maintenance of a BoardHouse hardwood floor in a kitchen : Sweep or vacuum on a routine basis to remove dirt and debris that is tracked into the home from outside. Wash the floor using the Apex recommended cleaner as needed. Re-Coat the floor as needed to eliminate light surface scratches and everyday wear and tear.
