Another of Linda's Creations
Preheat oven to 300 degrees
Ingredients
•2 cups old fashioned oats
•3/4 cups slivered almonds
•1/2 cup sweetened flaked coconut
•1/2 cup chopped pecans
•1/4 cup pine nuts
•1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
•1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
•1/4 cup unsalted butter
•2 T. honey (substitute something else for very young children)
•Assorted dried fruits
Directions
•Combine all ingredients, except butter and honey in large bowl
•Melt 1/4 cup unsalted butter and 2 tablespoons honey
•Add to dry ingredients
•Spread on baking sheet, with sides, and bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes, stirring occasionally.
•After baking, stir in dried fruits such as:
◦Cranberries, cherries, raisins, dates, cut - up apricots cut - up
•Cool and store in air tight container
