Good things come in small packages
The owners of this Geneva home were not put off by the modest square footage - all of 1600 sq. ft. - but they were concerned with the tiny, original kitchen. A mere 8' x 8', it posed a challenge to this couple who loves to cook and entertain. The solution? The home's den was selected as the new kitchen space, two walls were removed and - voila - an extraordinary example of ingenuity and craftsmanship. The perimeter cabinet's finish was purposely blended with the building trim to further allow the island to stand out as the room's focal point. The display rack above the sink showcases a cherished collection of Spode. The former kitchen was transformed into the first floor's powder room.
