Project Give-A-Hug: COMPLETE!

ASID ILLINOIS Gives Back recently donated gifts of time, services and materials for the renovation of the lobby and kitchen at Naperville’s Little Friends, Inc.

ASID Illinois Gives Back recently completed Project Give-A-Hug, the pro-bono renovation of the reception area, board room, and kitchen in the administrative building of Little Friends, Inc. in Naperville. The ASID Illinois Gives Back committee was created for the purpose of facilitating charitable projects through the coordination of interior designers and industry partners, while demonstrating the goodwill and talents of ASID Illinois and its members. Little Friends lovingly has been providing programs for children and adults with autism and other developmental difficulties for more than 50 years. The redesign of Little Friends, Inc.’s reception area and kitchen – titled “Project Give-A-Hug” – began in the spring of 2014. The ASID Gives Back committee — Dan McFadden, Past Basket Design; Roxanne Essex, Maggie’s Interiors; Sonia Dumont, Atelier Jouvence Custom Stoneworks; Mike Lennon, Ayr Custom Cabinetry and Sue Colbert, Colbert Custom Framing & Art Printing — set out to promote the project, raise funds and recruit donations of products and services. Enough funds were raised to cover associated costs with surplus available for Little Friends to purchase wish list items.
