Past Basket, Inc., is celebrating our 40th anniversary this year as a luxury consumer goods company. In addition to celebrating our longevity, we are also announcing the name change of our popular kitchen design division, Past Basket Design. Now “PB Kitchen Design,” the new name distinguishes our design firm from the brand’s founding namesake – Past Basket. Past Basket,Inc., operates PB Kitchen Design in Geneva, Illinois, and Past Basket Milwaukee located in Bayside, Wisconsin – known as Milwaukee’s premier destination for tableware, bedding, and wedding registry.
Our brand is still thriving, owned and operated by Geneva residents, David and Linda McFadden. Their son Dan, company president, commented on the company’s longevity stating,
“We take care of our clients, focus on quality product and we have always prided ourselves as supporters of artisans.”
PB Kitchen Design’s work is consistently published in local and national publications, and has a multiple award-winning design team. The PB Kitchen Design portfolio is currently rated the most popular Chicago area kitchen design page on Houzz, the leading online platform for home remodeling and design. The PB Kitchen Design team has also been awarded “Best Of Design and Customer Service” for three consecutive years. This honor highlights the fact that our 40-year-old business has not only preserved a foundation of quality craftsmanship and customer service, but kept abreast year after year of industry trends and an ever-evolving world of technology.
Dan Heyn, President of Sub-Zero and Wolf Chicago says,
“The PB Kitchen Design team consistently proves itself as a leader in the design industry. They follow the utmost attention to detail. The final result is always a captivating and impeccable kitchen design that well represents the luxury image of the Sub-Zero and Wolf brands.”
PB Kitchen Design is a long-time community partner as well with Dan McFadden serving as the spearhead for the Past Basket Cares program.
“We always look for ways that we can become involved in the community,” said McFadden. “We’ve run numerous area Kitchen Walks for charities such as Delnor Community Hospital Auxiliary, Inc., (now known as Northwest Medicine Delnor Hospital) and Fox Valley Food for Health.”
More recently Dan served as Project Manager for an American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) committee that rallied donations, designed, and built a new kitchen for Little Friends in Naperville, Illinois. An organization serving the needs of those with autism and other developmental challenges in the community through its educational programs and services, Little Friends is a perfect example of the organizations that Dan and the Past Basket, Inc., team look for when providing a hand up.
In honor of the 40th anniversary of the Past Basket, Inc. brand, we will be holding our own celebration during the 2016 Geneva Swedish Days.
On Saturday, June 25th and Sunday, 26th from 12 PM – 4 PM each day, we will be giving away free cold bottles of water and hosting a raffle for a Wolf Gourmet High Performance Blender (suggested retail price, $799) donated by Sub-Zero and Wolf, on the deck at 200 S. 3rd Street.
All proceeds from the raffle will be presented to Fox Valley Food for Health.
